How to dig a fish pond!!!!......Greyhound style

Now i've nagged Alan for nearly 2 yrs (as I do with most things before he says yes) to give our fish a bigger pond. Bertie the biggest fish was, past tense - but I'll get to that, over a foot long and didn't have enough room to have a really good swim!

But true to form it took our neighbour Pauline to mention it to him and low and behold he decides it's time to "give the fish more room to move around in"

Hallelujah I cried, strange that he wont listen to me but as soon as a neighbour mentions it or a work colleague it becomes a good idea. It makes me want to scream it really does. Oh well at least this is going to happen I finally said to myself.

Pauline's hubby lent us a holding tank and Alan made a start.

Now Niamh became very interested in all the goings on the garden, so much so that she had to join in. So here we have "How to did a fish pond - Greyhound style"

1] Take one very small fish pond with over 19 fish in - yes 19 you didn't read wrong. Alan rescued them from a puddle in a British Rail yard over 10 years ago

2] Move fish to holding tank

3] Remove old pond from ground

4] Have foreman inspect hole and franticly dig in sand so that garden is covered in shit and corruption

5] Have foreman decide that actually all the digging malarky is just too much work and have a lie down as shagged out. Realises that sand in pit is nice and cold so settles in for a nap!

6] "Oy Gaffer, brews up" but said forman decides she's better off where she is thank you very much and says.....................
